Deadly and fast, this plasma energy tower zaps any invading enemy at the speed of light. Great for taking out packed groups of monsters.
The Laser Tower is one of the more advanced towers, obtained mid game. It differs from the other towers in that it fires a short-ranged laser at the ground near it. As it does so, the laser swivels about 40-50 degrees from left to right. The laser deals continuous damage to all monsters that are hit by the laser.
The Laser Tower has a fast reload time, so it can take out a group of monsters like Octo-ooze pretty easily. It has a surprisingly high damage output, especially at higher levels, meaning that it can fare well against high health monsters such as Grokus. However, it also has a terribly short range, so it is best used with pathing. Additionally, it cannot target air units, so air coverage from other towers is needed.
It is actually possible for a Laser Tower to miss a monster. For example, if a Bolt ran past the Laser Tower in the right direction, the laser would not be able to catch up to the Bolt (Pending for test).
One time in the history of Backyard Monsters, many players complained that the Laser Tower was very overpowered. To address this, the developers gave us the Catapult.
It sounds impossible, but Pokeys can actually destroy a Level 1 Laser Tower. About 100 Pokeys are needed (Tested and proven).
If your computer is slow, its head can't be seen and it still fires, like the Sniper Tower.
The Laser Tower is the only tower that does not show how much damage it deals to enemy monsters.
It leaves a trail of black on the grass after it fires the laser. The black spot can get darker every time the laser fires on the same spot.
