Talk about evil science, this high voltage tower fries any enemy that gets within range. Upgrade to improve number of shocks per charge, damage per shock, and range.
The Tesla Tower is one of the more advanced towers, obtained mid game. Upon detecting a monster in range, it spins a conveyor belt for a moment, then lets loose with many electric charges that damage a single monster, and retargets when the original monster dies. After all the charges have been depleted, the conveyor belt stops spinning for a moment. Then it spins again, sending another wave of electric charges.
Compared to the other towers, it is not very fast at reloading. It tends to be vulnerable to large groups of monsters. However, it is capable of dealing high burst damage to a single monster. Almost no monster is capable of taking many of those deadly shocks. Additionally, it has a range comparable to the Sniper Tower when you begin to upgrade it.

- When Backyard Monsters loads, the loading picture shows that the Tesla Tower fires 2 electric shock waves at the same time, although in the game, the Tesla Tower can only fire 1 electric shock wave at a time.
- A Level 3 Drull or higher can destroy a Tesla Tower with no support at all before it fires a single shot due to that it need to charge before shooting.
- The Tesla tower, the Cannon Tower and the Quake Tower are the only defensive towers that can't rotate it's top.
- If the Tesla Tower is damaged its shots will have less dps then one that is in full health. (i.e. A lvl 1 Tesla Tower might only fire 59dps if it is more than half way damaged). This applies to all towers.
